NCUA Board Member Rick Metsger told Credit Union Times he wants to hear feedback from credit unions on the impact of the NCUA's regulations at CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference next week.
Metsger stressed that the agency wants to minimize the unintended consequences of its rules.
"I always like to hear, as a regulator, what are the impacts of our regulatory actions. We know what we're trying to accomplish and we're trying to convey that to them – that these are safe and sound practices – that we want them to continue to serve their members," said Metsger, who is set to speak next Tuesday during a GAC general session.
