Two more credit unions announced they are changing core processors.

The $145 million LorMet Community Federal Credit Union in Amherst, Ohio, is converting to the Sharetec platform through GBS Corp. of North Canton, Ohio. And, the $85 million Post Community Credit Union in Battle Creek, Mich., recently converted to the CU*BASE solution through CU*Answers in Battle Creek, Mich.

GBS is one of four regional owner-distributors of the Sharetec platform and serves about 60 of the nearly 300 credit unions on that system, the company said.

Post Community is the third credit union in Battle Creek to convert to the CU*Answers system, the Grand Rapids, Mich.-based CUSO said.  United Educational Credit Union and Grand Trunk Credit Union also are on the system, and Kellogg Community Federal Credit Union plans to convert soon, the CUSO said.

LorMet Community currently runs on the UltraData platform from Davis + Henderson Corp., according to Callahan & Associates data, while Post Community is a Fiserv Galaxy customer.

Fiserv's Galaxy is now in use at more than 160 credit unions, according to Callahan, and UltraData is in use at 310.

CU*Answers said it now provides core processing to just more than 170 credit unions directly and that network partners CU*South now has 29 credit union clients and CU*NorthWest has 25.
