Callahan & Associates Managing Partner Jon Jeffreys will step up to fill the shoes of Sean Hession, former CEO who accepted the position of president/CEO at the Illinois Credit Union League on Tuesday. Jeffreys was promoted to the position in January and was selected by Credit Union Times in September 2011 as a Trailblazer 40 Below honoree.

“We are thrilled Sean continues the legacy of our firm helping Illinois credit unions. The roots of our firm are founded in Illinois credit unions where Ed Callahan, Chip Filson and Bucky Sebastian served before coming to NCUA,” Jeffreys said. “Credit unions are fortunate to have Sean staying in the industry.”

The move finalized Callahan's organizational and leadership structure revamp it announced last year. The changes, designed to heighten the firm's market responsiveness and its ability to stay ahead of the curve in new product development, were in progress for months.

New roles for the firm's senior managers are aligned with industry needs and market demands, allowing Callahan to continue its tradition of helping credit unions succeed.

Jay Johnson, executive vice president, will lead development of all content and will assume the role as president of Callahan Financial Services, while continuing to serve as president of the TRUST Mutual Funds.

Alix Patterson will be leading Callahan's Solution Development and Innovation team, as well as serving as the firm's chief operating officer.

Scott Patterson has been appointed as president of CU Student Choice and will continue to leverage his expertise around technology and innovation to increase the emphasis on generating new business solutions and ideas.
