NCUA Board Chairman Debbie Matz announced the selection of Lynn Markgraf as Associate Regional Director for Programs in the agency's Region I office on Thursday.
Markgraf, a Region V Supervisory Examiner, begins her new role on Feb. 23 She succeeds Marcia Sarrazin, who held the position since March 2010 before retiring.
The NCUA's Region I, based in Albany, currently oversees federally insured credit unions in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, Vermont and Wisconsin.
Markgraf began her career with the NCUA in 1989 as a district examiner. She has since worked as a supervision analyst, insurance analyst and a program officer in the agency's Office of Examination and Insurance and Director of Insurance in Region V.
Markgraf holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Jacksonville State University, Jacksonville, Ala.
