Providing his perspective on CUSOs and the role of collaboration among credit unions, NCUA Board Member Rick Metsger will be one of the keynote speakers at the National Association of Credit Union Service Organizations' annual conference in April.

During his talk, “CUSOs – Challenges and Opportunities in an Evolving Regulatory World,” Metsger will discuss the role of the regulator in overseeing the management of the investment and operational risks in CUSOs and collaborations.

Metsger will speak at NACUSO's annual conference April 15 at the Disney Yacht Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.

There will also be a 30-minute Q&A session after Metsger's speech, according to NACUSO.

In two separate meetings held last October, NACUSO Board Chair Mark Zook, NACUSO President/CEO Jack Antonini and General Counsel Guy Messick met with Metsger to discuss their concerns prior to the NCUA approving the amended CUSO rule in November.

NACUSO said it will also host a breakfast session with the NCUA on April 16 where conference attendees will be able to talk to key senior staff from the agency.

NACUSO's conference will take place April 14-17.
