EAST

UMassFive College Federal Credit Union in Hadley, Mass., has donated the third and final police bicycle out of a promised three to the Three-College Campus Police to help renew an aging fleet. UMassFive now has committed to a three-year round of donations for life-saving defibrillators for Hampshire, Mount Holyoke and Smith colleges.

Align Credit Union in Lowell, Mass., served as the lead sponsor for the Manolis Family Foundation's annual Thanksgiving food drive. The "Project Helping Hands" effort concluded on Nov. 25 when hundreds of volunteers, including Align employees, packed baskets with a turkey, assorted vegetables, fixings and beverages. The food baskets provided meals to more than 2,000 people.

Community Resource Federal Credit Union in Latham, N.Y., raised $1,000 for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society with its Pet Photos for Santa event. Sixty-nine dogs and seven cats stopped by for a visit with Santa during the Dec. 7 event.

American Eagle Federal Credit Union in East Hartford, Conn., has awarded a $2,500 grant to Operation Fuel Inc. to help residents living in Hartford, Middlesex and Tolland counties. The grant was awarded through the American Eagle Federal Credit Union Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.

Seventy local children were assured of a bright Christmas through the contributions raised by Diamond Credit Union in Pottstown, Pa. The credit union supported the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program for the ninth consecutive year.

SOUTH

Campus Federal, Pelican State and Neighbors federal credit unions raised $20,899 for Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital during their 10th annual Credit Union Charity Golf Tournament at Santa Maria Golf Course in Baton Rouge, La. Proceeds from this tournament will be dedicated to the expansion of OLOLCH.

Commonwealth Credit Union in Frankfort, Ky., said it raised more than $15,000 for 15 families at the Daniel's Care Program of Hospice of the Bluegrass. The holiday gift for families of terminally ill children was generated through a silent auction for credit union employees and donations from members taken at branches and online.

Delta Community Credit Union has pledged to donate $70,000 to 15 organizations in metro Atlanta. The grants, ranging from $500 to $10,000, will be distributed to schools, food banks and youth and health advocacy groups and the YWCA.

The We Promise Foundation, the charitable arm of Chartway Federal Credit Union in Virginia Beach, Va., has approved grants totaling $924,300 to 16 organizations. The grants were distributed to Make-a-Wish Foundations, children's hospitals and similar organizations in Virginia, Utah, Texas, Louisiana, North Carolina and Rhode Island.

The Northeast Florida Chapter of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions in Jacksonville, Fla., has donated $6,000 to four local charities. Various fundraising events allowed the chapter to make the $1,500 contributions to the Pace Center for Girls, First Coast No More Homeless Pets, Real$ense Jax and Second Harvest.

Robins Federal Credit Union in Warner Robins, Ga., donated $1,000 each to 12 organizations during the credit union's 12 Days of Holiday Giving event. They were Kids Yule Love, Macon Outreach, Daybreak and Hephzibah Children's Home in Macon, Ga.; HODAC and Happy Hour in Warner Robins; The Grace House in Ft. Valley, Ga.; Senior Center in Gray, Ga.; Compassionate Care in Milledgeville, Ga.; The Empty Stocking Fund in Athens, Ga.; The Food Pantry in Swainsboro, Ga.; and Monroe Family Connection in Forsyth, Ga.

MIDWEST

Royal Credit Union in Eau Claire, Wis., donated more than 660 toys for the local Salvation Army during its RCU Holiday Toy Drive. The donations were donated at RCU branches by members and employees.

The Dow Chemical Employees' Credit Union and Members First Credit Union in Midland, Mich., and Wildfire Credit Union in Saginaw, Mich., have joined together to support The Diaper Alliance, a diaper bank based in Midland. The three credit unions pledged more than $1,500 – enough to cover the alliance's operating expenses for the first quarter of 2014.

NuMark Credit Union in Joliet, Ill, donated $1,410 to sponsor 141 wreaths at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Ill., in November as part of the nationwide "Wreaths Across America" project.

WEST

Employees of Christian Community Credit Union in San Dimas, Calif., donated to two charitable causes—Operation Christmas Child and Children's Miracle Network. The staff donated 44 shoeboxes to Operation Christmas Child filled with toys, school supplies and more. And, in support of Los Angeles Children's Hospital, the staff participated in Miracle Jeans Day by donating $600 to Children's Miracle Network.

Xceed Financial Credit Union raised more than $800 for the Children's Miracle Network with a "Lunch for a Cause" fundraiser. The Nov. 26 event featured an In-N-Out burger truck paying a visit to the credit union's corporate headquarters in El Segundo, Calif.
