A Utah startup is offering what it says is the first mobile app that provides both business and personal credit scores.

Creditera was launched in 2012 after co-founder Levi King said his own business credit scores hindered his ability to get the most favorable loan terms although he had run legitimate, profitable businesses.

The Creditera app will provide small business operators with mobile access to their personal and business scores from rating services such as Experian, King said.

“Many financial institutions use these credit scores to help them make lending decisions, especially in the case of small business owners who haven't built up a business credit history,” King said in his South Jordan, Utah, company's announcement.

“Creditera's app will make it easy for those entrepreneurs to have a comprehensive view of their credit health in real time,” King said.

The app also includes the Creditera identity theft and suspicious activity monitoring service, the company said.
