The $57 million, 8,600-member Ascension Credit Union in Gonzales, La., plans to convert its core processing this year to the iPower platform from EPL Inc. of Birmingham, Ala., the CUSO and credit union said.

The conversion is scheduled for June 1 and brings EPL's client count to 85, the CUSO said.

The contract calls for daily data operations to be outsourced to EPL, including onto a shared branching network through CUePassport that will add 3,500 locations to the Louisiana credit union's two branches.

Online and mobile banking, including remote deposit checking, along with relationship management and marketing tools, will also be part of the package.

Ascension currently runs on the Fiserv CUSA core processing system, according to data from Callahan & Associates.
