The Carolinas Credit Union League rang in the New Year with the official launch of the merged organization, as well as a new website and logo.

The website, which the CCUL said was built on the South Carolina Credit Union League's current site platform, highlights the four league services credit unions value most: advocacy, compliance, community and professional development.

The site will enable credit union staff members to engage with their peers and collaborate among groups by chapter, expertise or credit union asset size, the CCUL said.

“We heard clearly that credit unions want their league to be a unifying influence and a champion of cooperation, and the community section will empower them to connect and collaborate,” said Brandon Pugh, vice president of communications and public relations. “We're excited about this section and its potential as more members create profiles and for other site features everyone will soon appreciate.”

The new site also offers a streamlined event registration function and provides multiple payment options. There is also an option for credit union members to automate their dues, the organization said.

Last August, member credit unions located in North Carolina and South Carolina overwhelmingly voted to form the combined league. The CCUL will operate offices in both of the states' capital cities: Raleigh, N.C. and Columbia, S.C.

John Radebaugh, president of the former North Carolina Credit Union League, is serving as president of CCUL. Steve Fowler, president of the former South Carolina Credit Union League, has retired.

The Carolinas merger was the second among leagues in 2013. The Cornerstone Credit Union League, which in July merged the Arkansas Credit Union League, the Credit Union Association of Oklahoma and Texas Credit Union League, is the largest credit union league in the U.S.
