EECU donation fuels central California's first Honor Flight to World War II Memorial in D.C.

The $2.1 billion, 219,800-member Educational Employees Credit Union in Fresno, Calif., recently helped send a group of World War II veterans to see their memorial in Washington, D.C., as the first Central Valley Honor Flight took wing. EECY donated $24,250 that helped establish the local Honor Flight chapter and covered about 20% of the cost of the trip. The 219,800-member credit union said it pledged $50 to the Honor Flight program for every auto loan EECU financed from mid to late May.
