CO-OP Financial Services said Wednesday it will be an underwriter for the new Strategic Innovation Institute that CUES plans to launch next September.
The first session of the two-year institute will be held Sept. 15-19, 2014, at the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Mass., and the second will follow in fall 2015 at the Stanford Graduate School of Business in California, CUES said in the joint announcement.
The program will focus on strategy, innovation, technology and leadership with an eye toward ideation and designing solutions to solve common consumer challenges, the announcement said.
"Attendees of the institute will explore strategic thinking about both large and small scale innovation, learn ways to build organizational capacity for continuous innovation, exchange ideas on developing strategic organizational leadership skills, and discover how to grow their business in ways that align with the traditions and culture of credit unions," said Chuck Fagan, president/CEO of CUES in Madison, Wis.
"The goals of the institute are perfectly aligned with our own, and we believe it will make a valuable contribution to fostering a more progressive credit union movement," said Stan Hollen, president/CEO of CO-OP in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
