The $1.6 billion Founders Federal Credit Union in Lancaster, S.C., said it has distributed a $5.7 million Loyalty Dividend to its members on Dec. 1.
Approximately 86,000 of Founders’ 195,600 members received the dividends based on interest paid on loans or earned on deposits, the credit union said.
Qualifying members also received an additional $25 if they enrolled in estatements.
Additionally, this year Founders also paid $25 to members under 18 who maintained active accounts for the year and another $25 to those who had estatements.
Founders said it now has paid out more than $40 million in bonus dividends since 1992.
