CU*Answers said last week that it has added a new owner, completed converting another credit union to its core processing system and is releasing an upgrade of the platform.
The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based CUSO said its 121st owner is the $142 million KALSEE Credit Union in Kalamazoo, Mich. The CUSO said it added 14 new owners in the fiscal year that ended on Sept. 30, the second most in one year in its 40-year history, and that three new owners have now invested so far in fiscal 2014.
The newly converted user of the CU*Base core processing system is the $185 million Lake State Credit Union in Moose Lake, Minn., which announced its plans to convert from the Fiserv CUSA platform late last year.
The CUSO said it continues to work to provide three upgrades a year and that Version 13.3 of its CU*BASE core data processing system will be released Dec. 8 and provided free to the 225 credit unions that run on it.
Enhancements include automation of loading imaged member IDs for staff; simplified ID windows; greater credit union security controls; new integration with third-party vendors; greater 1098 reporting options and updated delinquent loan interest calculations, CU*Answers said.
CU*Answers network partner CU*South now has 29 credit union clients and CU*NorthWest has 25, while another 171 credit unions run the CU*BASE platform through CU*Answers itself, the Michigan CUSO said.
