The Mortgage Services Advisory Committee, an advisory committee to the board of the National Association of Credit Union Service Organizations, has announced that it will now be chaired by Andrea M. Blais, CEO of Community Mortgage Funding LLC.
The MSAC meets regularly to discuss how to implement and comply with new regulations, as well as other various matters concerning the mortgage industry, according to NACUSO. Blais will now be responsible for helping to oversee the direction of the committee and its work.
A certified mortgage banker with more than 25 years of experience in the credit union industry, Blais has served as CEO of Community Mortgage Funding in Pomona, Calif., since 2009, NACUSO said.
The residential mortgage lending CUSO is owned by the $607 million SCE Federal Credit Union in El Monte, Calif., and the $640 million in Farmers Insurance Group Federal Credit Union in Los Angeles.
“It is my hope that the MSAC will continue to assist in equipping our credit union partners with resources and solutions that will help them to serve their members more effectively,” Blais said in a statement.
