The Credit Union League of Connecticut's board of directors on Nov. 5 appointed Jill Nowacki as its new president/CEO. Nowacki replaces Tony Emerson, who in April was named the president/CEO of the $495 million IC Federal Credit Union in Fitchburg, Mass.

Nowacki was named as one of Credit Union Times Women to Watch in April 2012.

Nowacki joined the credit union industry in Montana more than 10 years ago at the Montana Credit Union Network in Helena, where she worked in marketing and communications. She also served as CUNA's executive director of Credit Union House, where she doubled annual contributors and revenue by her second year, according to a CULC statement.

Nowacki also worked as vice president of development at the $467 million Marion and Polk Schools Credit Union in Salem, Ore. She also served as executive director of Maps Community Foundation, said CULC in its prepared statement.

“Under her leadership we believe the Connecticut Credit Union League will remain a valuable resource for Connecticut credit unions for many years,” Michael Hinchey, a board member who chaired the national search committee, said in a prepared statement. 'We have great confidence that Jill will continue to produce outstanding service to our members as well as guiding the league and the Connecticut credit union community to new heights and a successful future.”
