Amy Sink was named chief executive officer of the $650 million Interra Credit Union in Goshen, Ind. With more than 25 years of experience in the credit union industry, Sink was most recently senior vice president and chief financial officer at the $2.4 billion Teachers Credit Union in South Bend. There she directed the finance, accounting, treasury, information systems, electronic funds transfer and human resources departments. She also chairs the board at Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union.
She will join Interra November 4.
Sink received her bachelor's degree in finance from Indiana University-Bloomington and her master's degree from The University of Notre Dame.
The $2.5 billion MSU Federal Credit Union announced the promotion of Denya Shimnoski to mortgage manager.
Shimnoski has worked at the credit union since April 2011 and was previously manager of MSUFCU's Sparrow branch. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from Northwood University.
SOUTH
The $185 million Champion Credit Union of Canton, N.C. announced it has hired Nikki Hopkins to fill the position of mortgage loan originator in the credit union's Arden office. Hopkins has an associate's degree from AB Technical Community College and her North Carolina Loan Officer License. She has more than nine years of experience in the mortgage lending business with Superior Home Mortgage, Macon Bank, Carolina First Bank, and most recently SunTrust Mortgage.
WEST
The $680 million DATCU Credit Union in Denton, Texas, announced that David Robinson has joined DATCU Financial Services. David joins the credit union through its alliance with broker/dealer INVEST Financial Corporation.
"We are very excited to have David join the team," said Dale Kimble, president/CEO. "He will be a valuable asset to DATCU as we continue to grow and more importantly assist our members in reaching their long-term financial goals."
David will join his brother Scott Robinson as a financial planner at the organization. He will work with DATCU members to develop a plan that will take individuals from where they are now through retirement.
Robinson is a graduate of the University of North Texas and holds a bachelor's degree in business.
The $3.8 billion Ent Federal Credit Union in Colorado Springs, Colo. announced it has hired Yvonne Hamilton and Nancy Lonergan as marketing managers.
Hamilton has worked in the marketing field for more than 14 years and most recently served in talent acquisition marketing at Exelis. She has a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from the University of Texas at El Paso.
Lonergan has worked in advertising and marketing for more than 20 years and most recently served as communications and marketing specialist at University of Colorado Health at Memorial Hospital. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and journalism from the University of Iowa.
The $1.2 billion Whitefish Credit Union in Whitefish, Mont., named Nichole Peters its new member service representative II in Columbia Falls. Peters will be an asset to those in the community looking to borrow locally, according to Taylor Horst, senior vice president and chief lending officer. "We felt it was important to our membership that they could walk in and talk directly to someone local for their consumer lending needs," Horst said.
Peters formerly served as a loan officer assistant in the credit union's Kalispell branch.
VENDORS
Irene Tan, a veteran in the New England credit union industry, joined the Glastonbury, Conn.-based Bankers' Bank Northeast as vice president and relationship manager. She will be responsible for BBN's continued outreach to credit unions.
Tan has more than 12 years' experience in the specialized financial sector. Before joining Bankers' Bank Northeast, Tan was director of corporate and retail business at Allanach Mortgage Group. Previously, she was the senior business consultant at Alloya Corporate Federal Credit Union, where she was responsible for developing new business and managing existing relationships with member institutions.
"Irene comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the correspondent business," said Susan W. Salecky, senior vice president of service and sales at Bankers' Bank Northeast.
Tan is a graduate of Green Mountain College, in Vermont.
