The $1.4 billion Indiana Members Credit Union recently donated 1,147,000 pop tabs to the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana, tabs the 25-branch IMCU began collecting during the first quarter of 2013. The 111,600-member credit union exceeded its goal of 1 million tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House at Riley Hospital for Children – IU Health and other Indianapolis-area hospitals.
The Ronald McDonald House of Indiana has been conducting the pop top recycling campaign for about 15 years and now brings in about $50,000 a year, enough to operate three rooms in the house for a year, the organization said.
