A group of members, employees and friends of the $890 million Meritrust Credit Union in Wichita, Kan., gathered on a recent Saturday to assemble 20,000 meals for shipment to an orphanage in South Africa on behalf of the international hunger relief organization Numana, and in recognition of International Credit Union Day. ]

The teams measured, weighed, sealed, boxed and prepared for shipment the meals for the orphanage. Meals assembled consisted of rice, soy protein, freeze-dried pinto beans and a blend of vitamins and minerals targeted to help the immune system of malnourished people.
