Vertifi, the wholly owned technology-focused subsidiary of Burlington, Mass.-based Eastern Corporate Federal Credit Union, has announced availability in the Windows Mobile apps store of a standalone mobile remote deposit app.
Part of the DeposZip group of apps, the new app has been approved for distribution by Microsoft, said Vertifi president Alan Bernstein.
“Windows Mobile is not going away,” said Bernstein, who explained that Vertifi developed the app at the request of several credit unions that have employer groups that are standardized on Win Mobile. “That was our impetus,” he said.
Bernstein indicated that “about 30” credit unions are DeposZip customers and thus can make the Windows Mobile app available to their members. The standalone app is also available in Android and iPhone formats
Bernstein elaborated that “around 140” credit unions are present Vertifi MRDC customers, but another 400 financial institutions “are in the implementation queue to use our patent-pending MRDC technology through one of several channel partners.”
