MY CU Services, the payment service and technology CUSO of the $2.44 billion Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union, said Friday it is planning to purchase Advanced Management Information Systems, a provider of information technology systems for credit unions.
Details of the sale are still pending, according to MY CU Services in Middletown, Pa. AMIS' current offices and staff will remain in place following the purchase, according to a release.
The transition is anticipated to be smooth, as MY CU Services and AMIS have worked in partnership over the years and share many credit union clients, said Drew Kishbaugh, president/CEO of MY CU Services.
"Both organizations know the movement and are committed to helping credit unions grow and succeed in the marketplace," Kishbaugh said.
AMIS would bring expertise to MY CU Services' data processing and enhance its network capabilities allowing the CUSO to broaden its electronic payment and technology solutions for credit unions, Kishbaugh said.
"It aligns well with our efforts to help credit unions by combining resources and purchasing power, he noted.
AMIS President Mike Ruzicka agreed, saying, "The opportunity to partner with a trusted organization like MY CU Services will allow us to further our support of credit unions."
AMIS was founded in 1970 and is based in Carnegie, Pa. Among its services are data processing, backups, offsite backups, equipment, network solutions, websites and hardware maintenance.
Founded in 1999, MY CU Services said it provides services to more than 750 credit unions.
