The Credit Union Association of the Dakotas in Bismarck, N.D., said its CU Social Good website, which exclusively features stories about the positive impact of credit unions on people and their community, has already posted more than 1,500 articles since the site was launched just 10 months ago.

"Credit unions give back to their local communities in an amazing variety of creative and generous ways, and credit union employees and members are well known for their volunteer work and charitable fundraising events," CUAD said in a prepared statement.

"At CU Social Good, you will find these "good news" stories of credit unions and credit union people being involved in their communities – helping charities, promoting financial literacy, providing scholarships, volunteering their time, and supporting people and planet over profit," CUAD said.
