The 2,600 member credit unions of Card Services for Credit Unions can now offer MasterCard's digital wallet service to their own members.

The MasterPass service lets cardholders use any enabled mobile device—or the Web —to make one-touch payments at any retailer that accepts MasterPass, CSCU said. “Our member credit unions will experience increased transactions that come with a simplified digital shopping experience, while cardholders will enjoy its convenience, security and ease of use,” Kristi Mackey, CSCU's assistant vice president of client services and product, said in the announcement on Thursday.

CSCU said member credit unions can offer digital wallet access through their websites, where users can safely store card information, as well as use other branded credit, debit and prepaid cards, to make transactions.

Tampa, Fla.-based CSCU is an association of credit unions that processes payments on FIS platforms.

Competing processors PSCU, CO-OP Financial Services and The Members Group began offering MasterPass earlier this year.

Visa has its own digital wallet counterpart, V.me. Among its adopters is the $54 billion Navy Federal Credit Union.
