The $810 million Credit Union ONE in Ferndale, Mich., will convert to the DNA account processing platform from Fiserv Inc., the company and credit union said.

The 107,500-member suburban Detroit institution cited the system's efficiency and its own long-term growth strategy in its decision, the announcement last week said, and also noted the DNAcreator software toolkit as a key factor.

“The open architecture and robust functionality of DNA will enable us to fulfill our member value proposition by providing highly customized products and services through the real-time channels they demand,” said David Breuer, senior vice president and chief information at Credit Union ONE.

The announcement said Credit Union ONE also will implement Fiserv's tMagic for integrated teller capture, Prologue for financial management, ConvergeIT for interactive voice response and WireXchange for wire transfer processing.

Credit Union ONE – which has 17 offices around Detroit, Grand Rapids and Traverse City –is an existing client of Fiserv's Raddon Financial Group, the announcement said.

The credit union currently runs on an UltraData platform from Harland Financial Solutions, according to Callahan & Associates data.

About 210 credit unions currently run on the DNA core, and about 2,300 credit unions overall use Fiserv for account processing.
