NCUA Board Chairman Debbie Matz announced Friday that D. Scott Neat, a 26-year veteran of NCUA, has been named director of supervision in the Office of Examination and Insurance.

Neat starts in his new role on Nov. 3 succeeding Matthew Biliouris, who was named deputy director of the NCUA's Office of Consumer Protection in July of this year. The Division of Supervision oversees NCUA's examination and supervision program.

Neat joined the NCUA in 1987 as an examiner. He later became a supervision analyst in 1990 at the NCUA's Atlanta Region III office. In 1992, Neat worked as a problem case officer in Region III's Division of Special Actions until 2007 when he took on his current supervisory examiner position based in Memphis.

Neat studied at the University of Kentucky and graduated with a degree in accounting.
