Enjoying croissants, pastries and lattés, the Louisiana Credit Union League kicked off its version of a national small business cash mob Tuesday morning.
The patronage was a part of the industry's CU Lunch Local campaign, which has grown into an annual event spearheaded by credit unions that venture out into the community to support local businesses and in turn, build potential business lending and services relationships.
The Louisiana league said it will be lunching local all week. Staff enjoyed breakfast from Cafe' Latte Da in Harahan, La. Others had lunch had at New Orleans Hamburger & Seafood Co.
