Nicholas Ballasy has joined Credit Union Times as the publication's Washington reporter.
In this capacity, Ballasy will cover Congress, as well as tax policy, the NCUA, credit union trade associations, the Federal Reserve, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other related topics, including political news pertaining to credit unions.
Since 2008, Ballasy has covered Congress and national politics for CNS News, The Daily Caller and PJ Media. His reporting has been featured by media outlets including The Associated Press, Washington Post, New York Times, Politico, FoxNews.com, ABCNews.com, Huffington Post, Washington Times, Washington Examiner and USA Today.
The Fox Business Network, RT News and the Sun News Network are among the broadcast outlets he has provided political analysis on a wide range of topics.
Ballasy has interviewed a multitude of national political leaders including former President Bill Clinton, former Gov. Mitt Romney, Sen. John McCain, former Gov. Howard Dean, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Barack Obama, John Kerry and Joe Biden as U.S. senators. His interviews have appeared on CNN, Fox News, NBC, CBS, ABC, The Drudge Report and more.
