To celebrate 20 years serving two Florida counties, Space Coast Credit Union said it will give away 100 free $20 gas cards Friday.

The $3 billion credit union in Melbourne, Fla., said at 3 p.m. today, its SCCU Members Watchdog team will hand out the cards at the Circle K located at 819 Deltona Blvd. in Deltona, Fla.

“October marks SCCU's 20th year serving Volusia and Flagler counties, and we wanted to give back to the local community,” said Kimberly Tyree, director of regional services for Volusia and Flagler counties for SCCU.

She added, “Surprising residents with $20 to help fill up their tank is a fun way to engage and educate the community about SCCU.”

In addition to the gas card giveaway, staff members from the SCCU Deltona branch will be on hand to answer questions and give away additional scratch–off cards for instant cash awards and incentives redeemable at Volusia and Flagler county SCCU branches.

Chartered in 1951, SCCU serves more than 230,000 members through a network of 57 branches and more than 100 ATMs located throughout Florida.
