The $186 million Educational Credit Union in Topeka, Kan., is traveling to area high school football games this season and throwing a free tailgate party for the students. The events, staged in partnership with a local magazine, radio station and Pepsi, feature food, drinks, activities and games.

"The tailgate parties are a fun way for the students to get ready for the football game, and a way to promote school spirit," said Dan Wiggs, marketing manager at the 21,500-member ECU.
