The $1.3 billion Elevations Credit Union Foundation in Boulder, Colo., has launched a fundraising initiative to raise $100,000 to help victims of the Colorado flood disaster.
Each dollar collected by the Elevations Foundation will be matched up to $100,000 by Elevations Credit Union through September 30.
All funds collected will be earmarked for temporary housing for those individuals and families displaced by the floods.
“This disaster has had a devastating effect on so many families,” said Dennis Paul, assistant vice president of Business and Community Development at Elevations CU. “Elevations will work with local agencies including Foothills United Way, Boulder County Community Services, and the United Way of Larimer County to ensure the funds get to the victims.”
Donations are being accepted at the credit union's website or at any Elevations CU branch location.
Additionally, donations can be made by phone at 303.443.4672 or 800.429.7626.
Elevations has also set up a special flood response team to assist its membership that have been affected by the flooding. The response team is ready to help members with financial issues they may have as a result of the flood. The team will also assist with a loan or other financial needs that may have resulted from this emergency.
