There's new leadership at GHS Federal Credit Union.
Howard Meller, former senior vice president/area manager at Sun Trust Bank, has been tapped as the new president/CEO of the Binghamton, N.Y., credit union.
He succeeds Dan LeClerc, who from 2011 to March, 2013 served as president/CEO of the $135 million credit union. LeClerc currently serves as director of finance at Colorado Springs, Colo.-based Ent Federal Credit Union.

At SunTrust Bank for some seven years, in addition to his management and customer service experience, Meller has been credited with helping the bank's growth of 11 retail branches in southeastern Virginia, his new employer said.
He graduated from Binghamton University and holds an MBA from St. John's University. Prior to SunTrust, Meller served as vice president/consumer market manager at Bank of America.
Meller said he's honored and eager to begin embracing the fundamentals of the credit union movement.
