Navy Federal Credit Union said Monday all of its staff at its branch on the grounds of the Washington Navy Yard were safe after the shooting rampage there that took a dozen lives.
The Naval Sea Systems Command houses a number of different military buildings at the sprawling site and is the workplace of roughly 3,000 civilian and military personnel.
Police said Monday that 13 people were killed, including the gunman.
