Friday, Sept. 13, will be remembered as an unlucky day for some credit unions in Boulder, Colo., where nearly a foot of rain has fallen since Wednesday.
While the flood emergency continues, the $445 million Premier Members FCU said it opened branches in Boulder, North Longmont and Firestone at 10 a.m. (MDT), though its branches in South Longmont and in an IBM manufacturing plant remained closed Friday, according to a notice posted on its web site.

However, the $1.3 billion Elevations Credit Union's 10 branches and phone contact center were closed today, that credit union's website said. Its branches are located in Boulder, Westminster, Lafayette, Longmont and Loveland.
“We are working toward a normal opening on Saturday,” Elevations stated on its Facebook page, where at least one member got help, in this case making a transfer from a business to a personal account.
Both credit unions reminded members that online banking, mobile banking, ATMs and some shared branches are available.
The Boulder Municipal Employees Credit Union also stayed closed Friday, according to its site.
The $300 million Boulder Valley CU said its branches in Arapahoe and Louisville re-opened Friday at 10 a.m. MDT, according to a post on its Facebook site.

The Weather Channel has reported the rain has subsided but the flood waters continue to rise.
The historic rainfall in northern Colorado has led to massive flash floods killing at least three people, damaging or destroying dozens of homes and cars, and closing hundreds of roads, schools and businesses.
