CU Direct Connect has signed an agreement that names the CUSO as the preferred lender at Sonic Automotive's dealerships in Colorado.
The agreement became effective Aug. 1.
The Charlotte, N.C.-based Sonic Automotive operates more than 100 dealerships in 14 states and 25 major metropolitan markets, according to CU Direct Connect in Centennial, Colo.
Sonic Automotive recently expanded its presence in Colorado through the acquisition of two franchise dealerships, which also took place in August, CUDC said.
The CUSO said it serves approximately 34 credit unions for vehicle lending which support the auto dealer partners in the CUDC program.
The Sonic Automotive partnership is the latest alliance with a national dealership. In November 2012, CUDC said it became a preferred lender for all AutoNation dealerships in Colorado.
