Student lending firm CU Campus Resources said it reached a milestone in August when it surpassed the $100 million mark in private loans funded.
The Madison, Wis., company provides private education loan products and services that participating credit unions can make available to their members.
Mike Long, president/chief operating officer of CU Campus Resources, said the latest trend is private student loan consolidation.
“Credit union members can combine all their private loans into one affordable, monthly payment,” Long said. “This provides a tremendous opportunity for credit unions everywhere to meet their members' needs and add high quality loans to their balance sheet.”
Founded in 2010 as a subsidiary of the $1.7 billion UW Credit Union in Madison, Wis., CU Campus Resources said its credit union clients have more than $21 billion in assets and serve more than 1.5 million members.
