Jim McCormack, president/CEO of the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association, has been named one of the three recipients of the 2014 Herb Wegner Memorial Award for Lifetime Achievement, the National Credit Union Foundation said Friday.

McCormack will be honored with the other recipients at a dinner hosted by the NCUF on Feb. 24 during the GAC in Washington, D.C., the NCUF said.

McCormack, who plans to retire Dec. 31, first joined the industry in 1971 and his contributions include leading the creation of payday lending alternatives, state credit card processing and ATM initiatives and establishing a statewide credit union awareness campaign, the NCUF said, and he also has been an advocate for credit unions statewide and on the national level, the NCUF said.
