More than 200 students in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools began the new year with supplies donated by the credit union that serves many of their teachers, the $863 million South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union in Miami. The items were donated at a back-to-school celebration at Miami Northwestern High School.

“All students deserve to start every school year with enthusiasm, hope and joy for the thrilling journey they are embarking upon,” said Dorothy Bendross-Mindingall, school board member for District 2, whose students received the needed help.
