The $126 million Canyon State Credit Union in Phoenix, Ariz., has hired Jane Dobbs as its new president/CEO.
Dobbs will succeed the retiring Steve Dunham as CEO of the 16,700-member Canyon State in September, the credit union said.
“Jane brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that will help transition Canyon State strategically into the future while maintaining financial health and a priority focus on member service,” said Brett Moulton, Canyon State's board chairman.
“I am excited to be joining the Canyon State team and help build on the success they have experienced” Dobbs said in the credit union's announcement, adding, “We are sad to see Steve leave his post as CEO and transition into retirement, but are enthusiastic for his future endeavors and wish him all the best.”
Dobbs has more than 30 years of financial services leadership, most recently as interim CEO at the $275 million CPM FCU in North Charleston, S.C., and her work has included helping to guide troubled credit unions as interim chief retail officer for Texans Credit Union and as a senior consultant for Arrowhead Credit Union in California, her new employer said.
She began her career in branch management for the former Western Savings and Loan in Phoenix and held a variety of leadership roles with Bank of America in retail branch administration, mortgage and consumer lending, Canyon State said.
