The $4.5 billion Delta Community Credit Union in Atlanta said in an Aug. 20 release it has hired Eve Nimkar as its new vice president of marketing.

Nimkar succeeds the retired Mary Olson at Georgia's largest credit union. Most recently she was first vice president of credit card services for SunTrust Banks.

Her more than 20 years of marketing and public relations experience also includes stints at NetBank, Chase and Fiserv. She has a master's degree in journalism and mass communications from the University of Georgia and a bachelor's degree in business and marketing from Oral Roberts University.

“We know (Eve) can help us articulate the difference Delta Community stands for in a way that allows us to deepen our relationship with existing members and furthers our reputation as Atlanta's best place to bank,” said Matthew Shepherd, executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Delta Community serves Greater Atlanta and large select employee groups.
