The 13th annual Dave and Dan Celebrity Golf Tournament, presented by the $5.6 billion First Tech Federal Credit Union in Mountain View, Calif., raised more than $380,000 for Credit Unions for Kids, which benefits Children's Miracle Network hospitals.

Over the past 13 years, the tournament has raised more than $2.5 million to become the top credit union-sponsored event in support of CU4Kids, said the 358,000-member credit union.

The tournament was held at the Reserve Vineyards and Golf Club in Aloha, Ore., on July 15. This year's celebrity guests included Dick Butkus, Ronnie Lott, Anthony Muñoz, Scott Brosius, Jake Gibbs, Al Weis and Gary Morris.

"We are grateful to the many corporate sponsors, CUSOs, credit unions, volunteers and friends of the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals who helped the Dave and Dan Golf Tournament become the top ranked credit union-sponsored event in support of CU4Kids," said Greg Mitchell, president/CEO of First Tech FCU.

"These caring sponsors and supporters aided us in raising more than $380,000 to provide needed care and support to several children's hospitals. This event once again displayed the heart of the credit union movement and our collective ability to make a profound difference in the lives of others," Mitchell said in a statement.

The Dave and Dan Celebrity Golf Tournament is named after pro football Hall of Fame inductees Dave Wilcox and Dan Fouts, who both have roots in the Pacific Northwest and generously lend their celebrity status to help raise money for a great cause, the credit union said.

Proceeds from this year's event benefit several children's hospitals, including Doernbecher Children's Hospital, Seattle Children's Hospital, Sacred Heart Medical Center, Oakland Children's Hospital and UC Davis Children's Hospital.

Top sponsors include PSCU, CO-OP Financial Services, OnPoint Community Credit Union, Unitus Community Credit Union, CUNA Mutual Group and Northwest Credit Union Association, First Tech said.
