The $1.7 billion Community First Credit Union in Appleton, Wis., has renewed its core processing relationship with Fiserv Inc. of Brookfield, Wis., the company and credit union said Wednesday.

The 102,000-member Community First has been a longtime user of Fiserv's DataSafe account processing system and now has added the technology company's Virtuoso online banking, CheckFree RXP bill pay and Mobiliti mobile banking solutions, the organizations said in announcement.

The 27-branch Community First cited the platform's scalability, reliability and expansion capabilities, including in commercial solutions, in its decision.

“Our decision to continue and expand our partnership with Fiserv will be an important component of our future growth in providing financial services to the consumers and businesses in our region,” Community First President/CEO Cathie Tierney said in the announcement.

“As part of the more than 3,000 credit unions that Fiserv serves, Community First will have the ability to provide its members the high degree of flexibility and personalization for their banking experience that consumers everywhere have come to expect,” Mark Sievewright, Fiserv's division president, Credit Union Solutions, said in the announcement.

The DataSafe platform, once an offering of Fiserv's former USERS subsidiary, is now in place at 242 credit unions, according to data from Callahan & Associates.
