The $14.8 million Fortress Federal Credit Union in Marion, Ind., has completed its conversion to the Sharetec core processing platform from Bradford-Scott Data Corp. in Indianapolis, the company and credit union said.

The credit union announced a year ago it was making the switch. The 2,200-member Fortress FCU had been a Fiserv Portico customer, according to Callahan & Associates data.

“All conversions are difficult but everything went great,” said Fortress FCU President Lisa Blades. “We wanted to move to a solution that would allow us to reduce expenses while also improving our operations.”

She said she expected the new system to save her credit union 90 minutes a day of manual work.

Bradford-Scott is one of four regional owner-distributors of the Sharetec platform now in place at about 290 credit unions, the company said.
