Bill Butler has been named the president of the Healthcare Credit Union System, which was recently established to oversee the partnership between the $17.4 million MedPro Federal Credit Union in Akron, Ohio, and the $52 million Ohio HealthCare Federal Credit Union in Dublin.
On Aug, 1, MedPro FCU merged into Ohio HealthCare FCU, but both credit unions will maintain their brand names and run their locations to serve health care employees in the Buckeye State. The Healthcare Credit Union System will enable the credit unions to share back office operations and other resources.
Christy O'Connell has been named chief operating officer and Danielle Chatfield-Beres has been named chief financial officer of HCUS. Becky Howell, former president/CEO of MedPro, will assume the title of CEO of the Northeast Ohio market, the credit unions said.
Dave Cottone, former vice president of lending of Ohio HealthCare, will assume the title of CEO of the Central Ohio market.
“This partnership of two like-minded healthcare credit unions will dramatically enhance our ability to serve Ohio's healthcare community,” said Butler. “We now have a stronger framework to reach health care professionals throughout the Central and Northeast Ohio markets. We're eager to serve the medical community across the state with this new strategic partnership model.”
