With the aim of giving small businesses owners a clear understanding of how the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will impact them, Xceed Financial will host a seminar to make it happen.
The $970 million credit union based in El Segundo, Calif., said it will host its "Affordable Care Act and Your Small Business" seminar on Aug. 21 at its Pittsford Financial Center in Rochester, N.Y.
The free session will provide an overview of how the new law, commonly referred to as Obamacare, will impact small businesses in the Rochester area, including employer mandates, tax credits available for small businesses, the Small Business Health Options Program and the healthcare plan rate review process, according to Xceed Financial.

Attendees will also learn about additional resources available to help guide small business owners through the ACA, the credit union said. Representatives from the SBA will lead the discussion and take questions from the audience.
Debra Eckers, business banking officer for Xceed Financial, will also be present to share information about the business banking products and services available through the credit union. The seminar is open to both Xceed Financial members and nonmembers.

The credit union serves nearly 67,000 members and has 15 financial centers in six states.
