The $100 million Tyco Federal Credit Union has changed its name to Reach Credit Union as of Aug. 1.

“After various mergers acquisitions and divestitures, Tyco Federal Credit Union now exclusively serves several seven separate sponsors companies (Tyco, ADT, TE Connectivity, Covidien, Elo Touch Solutions, Atkore and Pentair), yet only one still uses the name Tyco,” the Menlo Park, Calif.-based credit union explained in a statement to members.

“Your board of directors felt that it was time to choose a name that better reflected our relationship with all our sponsor groups and member/owners,” the statement said.

Reach CU serves more than 7,000 members.
