The $1 billion CAP COM Federal Credit Union in Albany, N.Y. is constructing a three-story office building in the town of Colonie that will house a main branch and the credit union's subsidiaries.
“Our main office and mortgage division are nearly bursting at the seams,” said Paula Stopera, president/CEO of CAP COM. “Right now, our primary goals are to plan for future growth and meet the needs of our members.”
The credit union recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony at the 11-acre site attended by board members, senior leaders, community partners and town officials.
The building, which is expected to open late in 2014, will be the headquarters for CAP COM CU's subsidiaries including Homeowners Advantage Mortgage Division, Old Heritage Title Agency, CAP COM Financial Services, Car Buyers Service, School Banking Program, College Bound Program, and the CAP COM Cares Foundation.
CAP COM serves more than 103,000 members and operates 11 branches.
