The $2.2 billion Redwood Credit Union in Santa Rosa, Calif., has promoted Cynthia Negri to the newly created position of executive vice president and chief lending officer.
Negri has been with the 187,200-member RCU for more than 16 years, most recently as senior vice president of retail lending. Her new position calls for her to set strategic direction for all of RCU's lending programs, including consumer, mortgage and business lending.
"We are seeing improved consumer confidence and growth in all areas of lending, so we created the Chief Lending Officer position to help us bring our lending efforts to the next level," RCU President/CEO Brett Martinez said in the announcement.

Meanwhile, Ron Felder has been named Negri's successor as senior vice president of retail lending, RCU said. He has 24 years of financial services management experience, his new employer said, most recently as chief credit officer at the $4 billion Patelco CU in Pleasanton, Calif.
Felder is a member of the CUNA Lending Council and previously served on the board at Alliance and Prime Alliance Credit Union Servicing, RCU said.
