The $399 million Educational Community Credit Union in Kalamazoo, Mich., recently renovated a branch that, in addition to providing financial services, now also features a coffee bar, fireplace, children's play center and an exhibit area that will display the works of art by area students.

“We are so excited for our new branch,” says Tammy Phelps, ECCU's vice president of operations. “It allows us to provide members with an even more personal experience, from greeting them at the door when they first arrive to a more intimate transaction experience thanks to a barrier-free service area.”

The Kala mazoo branch is one of seven ECCU'operates in southwest Michigan. ECCU serves more than 36,000 members.

“The new Gull Road Branch signifies our growth and dedication to our members and the Kalamazoo community,” said Charles Cornelius, ECCU's president/ CEO. “We are happy to meet the demand for a new and improved space to allow for even greater service where members can feel right at home.”
