The 152 credit unions running on an online version of the CU*BASE core processing are now being supported by a new server system, their provider said.
CU*Answers said it has converted to IBM POWER7 servers in its data centers in Grand Rapids and Muskegon, Mich., a process the CUSO said took several weeks of installation and testing and was completed without disrupting production cycles.
The production server is at the Grand Rapids headquarters and the backup server in Muskegon, the CUSO said.

"Since our team has executed several similar projects over the past decade for not only our SaaS production environment, but also several of our self-processing credit unions, we were confident that the project would be completed in a timely, non-disruptive manner," said Scott Collins, the CU*Answers vice president who manages the IBM relationship.
Collins said the new system provides increased capacity, reliability and performance.
