The upcoming CU Water Cooler Symposium was the topic of discussion for “CUbroadcast” this week as the online video talk show marked its 200th episode, its founder said.
San Diego-based credit union marketing and public relations consultant Mike Lawson began posting the twice-weekly interviews in November 2010. This week he featured Filene's Matt Davis and Currency Marketing's Tim McAlpine on their CU Water Cooler Symposium gathering set for Oct. 17-18 in Nashville, Tenn.
Other guests in the past three years have included NCUA Board Chair Debbie Matz, CUNA President/CEO Bill Cheney and NAFCU's Fred Becker, as well as Bank 2.0/3.0 author Brett King and Credit Union Times Editor/Publisher Sarah Snell Cooke.
“This has been such a fun ride the past two-and-a-half years of doing these online interviews,” Lawson said. “I have met so many fantastic folks in this industry who are incredibly humble and passionate about their cause. It's a very refreshing escape from other industries.”
“Credit union people are so eager to tell their story – and that's what makes everybody so compelling to talk to.”
