Local Cleveland news outlets are reporting that Alex Spirikaitis, deposed CEO of the Taupa Lithuanian Credit Union which was liquidated Friday by the NCUA, has been in a standoff with police since 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.

An FBI spokesperson told the local news outlets the bureau has issued a warrant for Spirikaitis' arrest, but when police attempted to arrest him Tuesday night he barricaded himself inside his home. The FBI doesn't think anyone is in the house with him, but authorities say they are not sure if he has a weapon.

Local Fox 8 News in Cleveland reported a loud popping noise was heard on the scene earlier this morning. The station posted a video report on its website.

An FBI spokesman interviewed by the Fox station said the warrant accuses Spirikaitis of fraud.
